Tonight is the night before the event; and before anything else I have to tell you all that, as I write this, the students and teachers of the Elementary School COLEGIO INFANTES DE LARA, in Soria, Spain are conducting their "SPORTS DAY FOR TOHOKU". After almost three months organizing everything the final day for these kids is here. I bow to Marta Fernandez, their teacher, who has had the responsibility to organize everything from so far. This students and their teacher deserve the praise of everyone.
I also have good news regarding COLEGIO INFANTES DE LARA; finally we managed to get in contact with TOGURA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL in the town of Minamisanrikku, one of the many badly affected areas in Tohoku. The students and teachers their are very happy to learn that other kids of similar age feel for them and are ready to do any to help. They would do the same. So I'm happy to say that all the donations that COLEGIO INFANTES DE LARA collect will go directly to TOGURA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.

Hola a todos,
Os escribo la noche anterior al MARATÓN. Acabo de aprender la primera regla de todo blog: nunca despidas una entrada diciendo "prometo escribir mañana". Así que mil perdones por el retraso y como dicen en Japón GOMENNASAI. Gracias también a Kate por el consejo. Por cierto si tenéis tiempo os recomiendo su blog: http://earthquakepets.blogspot.com/
Como decía, hoy es la noche anterior al maratón pero lo que quiero deciros es que, mientras escribo esta entrada, los chavales del COLEGIO DE PRIMARIA INFANTES DE LARA en Soria están celebrando su "Sports day for Tohoku". Después de casi tres meses de preparación por fin ha llegado el día para ellos. Tengo que inclinarme ante Marta Fernández, su profesora, que ha llevado toda la responsabilizar de organizarlo, por todo su trabajo y empeño, especialmente desde tan lejos de Japón donde es más difícil entender la magnitud de la tragedia. Estos chicos y profesores se merecen todas las alabanzas imaginables.
También tengo buenas noticias para ellos. Finalmente hemos conseguido entrar en contacto con el colegio de primaria TOGURA en la ciudad de Minamisanrikku, una de las muchas que han sido duramente afectadas por el terremoto en Tohoku. Los profesores y estudiantes de TOGURA están muy contentos de saber que otros niños de su edad, desde tan lejos están listos para hacer lo que puedan por ayudar. Todos sabemos que ellos harían lo mismo. Así pues todas las donaciones que consigan recoger en INFANTES DE LARA irán directamente al colegio TOGURA.
